this post is definitely a wake up call.i knew that the tap water when filtered(that is what i do at home) was safe but i would like to know if my tap water is safe.it is amazing how many plastic bottles we consume every week(enough to go arround the world five times).
i loved one sentence that she said, that when we use tapwater over bottled water we are saving our wallets,our heath and our planet!!!!
This video relates the obvious, but the biggest problem of all is that although some people know this happens, they just don´t care! As it was said in the video, government should use the founds they waste in throwing out bottles, to simply improve public water treatments. We all know that we can´t be sure about the quality of tap water, but that´s because industries keep dropping waste into water courses and the people who are incharge of the city or country doesn´t take what it is needed to simply improve this condition. Summing up I wanted to recommend this post to all of my friends, but specially to politicians so that they can see what is happening and start change the Future that we are going to live!
Yes, Henrique, great comment! Another thing that confuses me is why our houses use water that is drinkable when we flush the toilets or water the gardens while literally millions of people around the world have no access to drinking water!
It's funny because people said things like:"i don't drink tap water because it comes from the sewage" or "i don't drink tap water because isn't clean". Well as we see it is a lie because it's better that the bottled water because it is stopped and contaigns more bacteries than the others. You have to post this in another public website because it has to be seen! By the way, good the way great blog teacher!
I agree with the teacher and I think this kind of small things determine what we are! That´s why some houses and buildings have a integrated system to use water from rain! Concluding I think in the Past we enjoyed lifes by being selfish, but Now people are opening their eyes and seing that by cutting out some of our luxuries we can help Millions of people!
Pedro, I think most people in Portugal prefer bottled water because it isn't very expensive in supermarkets and tap water used to taste bad. And you're right, a lot of people are suspicious about the quality. Henrique, maybe we're moving towards a smarter world?
